Content Removal Policy
How we handle content removal requests, DMCA notices, and intellectual property claims on the Clapwork platform.
1. Overview
Clapwork respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid content removal requests. This policy describes how to submit removal requests and how we process them.
2. Types of Content Removal
Clapwork processes the following types of content removal requests:
- Copyright Infringement (DMCA): Content that infringes on copyrighted material, including portfolio items, project deliverables, or profile content.
- Trademark Violations: Unauthorized use of trademarks, brand names, or logos in profiles, job postings, or portfolio items.
- Personal Data: Requests to remove personal information under applicable privacy laws (GDPR right to erasure, CCPA deletion requests).
- Defamatory Content: Reviews, messages, or profile content containing verifiably false statements that damage reputation.
- Illegal Content: Any content that violates applicable laws.
3. DMCA Takedown Notices
To submit a DMCA takedown notice, please provide the following information in writing:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on Clapwork that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it (URL or description).
- Your contact information (name, address, phone number, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Counter-Notification
If your content has been removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification including:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its former location on the platform.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, Clapwork will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, the content may be restored.

6. Repeat Infringement
Clapwork maintains a repeat infringer policy. Accounts that are subject to multiple valid DMCA notices or repeated content policy violations may be terminated.
